Epiphany! Another celebration! The 12th day after Christmas celebrates the visit of the three kings or wise men to the Christ Child, signifying the extension of salvation to the Gentiles. What a special time for our crown craft!

This year, Epiphany falls on Saturday, January 6, 2018. As part of your curriculum in church school, Sunday December 31st or January 7th would be the best time to schedule crafts for Epiphany. Make Christmas extra special this year by celebrating all 12 days and culminate with the feast of the Epiphany!

It is a perfect time to teach children that the discovery of Jesus’ birth wasn’t over in one day. It took a long time for the Magi to arrive to witness the Messiah in real life.                                                                                                                                                                                         “We have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him” (Matthew 2:2) What great foreshadowing…those stars!  Celebrate with our star craft!

Many Christian faiths also celebrate Jesus’ baptism by John at this time. This following craft is a special reminder for all of us that God acknowledged Jesus as his son at Jesus’ baptism in the form of a dove. What an exciting moment of all!

By including some great craft kits from Guildcraft Arts and Crafts in your teaching of Epiphany and Jesus’ baptism, your church family children will have greater understanding of the Christmas season and the significance of the Christ Child!
